DebugMode

PublicArtExplorer offers a debug functionality which allows to display detailed status messages to support troubleshooting in cases where there is no crashlog available.

Enable (and disable) debug mode by clicking 5 times on the PublicArtExplorer logo in the about dialog:

After that, a little “log” overlay window will appear in your tab windows:

Click on the log overlay to enlarge it or drag it around as you see fit:

New release v2.0.0

It’s been quiet for some time but here you go, let me introduce v2.0 Beta of #PublicArtExplorer.

The main change to the previous release is a complete overhaul of adding/changing artwork data. You can now collect position, images and whaever is easily accessible as you go (when you got little time) and complete the rest and upload whenever you got a quiet moment.
No more need to look up #OpenStreetMap or #Wikipedia logon details and potentially missing information, when all you want to do is to quickly capture a new artwork.

New website

Moved the Website from Joomla to Hugo, which is a better fit for the type of content I plan to publish here.
Added this blog and plan to crosspost newsworthy topics here (supporting RSS) and on the Fediverse.

Happy to hear any feedback you might have.
